In 2023 and 2024, the Brave Community took Mini Retreats to Valle de Guadalupe, but do you know why this place holds such deep significance?

For our Brave leader, Denise, Baja is more than just a destination—it’s a place filled with cherished childhood memories. Growing up, Denise would spend weekends and summers in Tecate, with her mom packing up the car every Friday night to take the family to her grandparents' ranch. The ranch was a vast space full of goats and horses, where Denise’s grandma tended to her garden, and her grandpa enjoyed the peacefulness of the land. It was a place where time seemed to slow down, allowing Denise to truly soak in the beauty and simplicity of nature.

The villa where the Mini Retreat was hosted in 2023 and 2024 is just a short 30-minute drive from Denise’s grandparents' ranch. It reminded her of those precious memories, creating a sense of familiarity and warmth. The villa is an intentionally designed boutique space that doubles as a winery, and the moment Denise stepped inside, she was transported back to her grandparents’ ranch. It was a space that felt like home, filling her heart with the same love, hope, and possibilities she felt as a young girl.
